Supermarket Aldi awarded Leaping Bunny for cosmetics

We are delighted to announce that Aldi has become one of only four supermarkets in the UK to become Leaping Bunny approved. The supermarket has been awarded approval for both its household cleaning products and cosmetics ranges. All of Aldi’s own brand eligible products will now feature the globally-recognised Leaping Bunny symbol, the best assurance that a brand has made a genuine commitment to ending animal testing.

With over 700 stores throughout the UK Aldi’s commitment to offering cruelty free options will make it even easier for shoppers to find and purchase Leaping Bunny approved products.

Michelle Thew, Chief Executive of Cruelty Free International, said: “We are delighted that Aldi has made the commitment to Leaping Bunny certification for all its own-brand household and beauty products, proving that affordable products can, and should, be cruelty-free. Aldi’s Leaping Bunny approval marks a step-change for compassionate people across the UK – shopping cruelty-free has never been so easy.”

Aldi joins Marks & Spencers, The Co-op and Waitrose in offering Leaping Bunny certified products for both its own-brand cosmetics and household cleaning ranges.
