We have a big challenge ahead of us

Many countries do not have adequate animal welfare legislation in place, and some even see animal experiments as a source of income.

We need to convince governments to listen and respond to public opinion - that animal testing for cosmetics is simply wrong – and to act on it. We have written to governments around the world asking them to implement a ban – and we will be publishing their responses, so watch this space to see what your government says.

Cruelty Free International is mobilising an international network of animal protection organisations to run coordinated national and regional campaigns. We provide regular updates and information about what is happening in countries around the world, as well as lots of ways you can get involved.

Our approach will differ in each country and region depending on the local situation, but one thing is crucial everywhere – public support! With the support of millions of people across
